Burton has been fortunate to create innovative projects for Good Samaritan, Children's Miracle Network, American Family Association, The Children's Mansion, Union County Historical Society, and The Bridge. After spending 20 years working and creating for others, he decided to set a few of his own ideas into motion and created Child Hunger Day® where he partnered with Candy Christmas at The Bridge, Inc. and Chick-fil-A to help raise awareness and funds to feed children suffering from hunger. His latest creation Rock Child Hunger® partners with a unique and curated group of artists and entertainers who use special performances called Hits for Hunger® and the power of music, media, and merch to impact children in need.
Burton created a successful 5K race with a USATF certified course that became popular as people ran the race to help abused and abandoned children build a better tomorrow in MS. He has partnered and worked closely with corporations such as Coca Cola, O'Charley's, Kirklands, Papa John's, Anytime Fitness, Churchill Mortgage, Chick-fil-A, The Tennessee Titans and The NFL project Huddle for Hunger®. Burton created the concept of a "No Run" Marathon to help end child hunger without breaking a sweat! This is how Skip and Give® was born. It has been extremely successful! It includes Skip and Give® "No Run" Marathon, Skip and Give® Child Hunger Golf Classic, and Skip and Give® Imaginary Banquet.

He also created This Ticket Saves Lives® where music industry leaders and professionals, record companies, promoters, supporting organizations, artists, athletes, and entertainers who are passionate about helping children in need donate a small portion of ticket sales, event tickets, music, autographed merch, and VIP meet-and-greet experiences in partnership with the This Ticket Saves Lives® program. This component takes Rock Child Hunger® to an international and global level.
Burton served for ten years as the Marketing Director and Brand Evangelist for The Bridge, Inc. in Nashville, an organization dedicated to serving the hungry and homeless.
